The Beach

A few weekends after Prineville, we went to the coast to see Rylee's Great-Aunt Joy and Great-Uncle Dan again. We stayed at her Grandma and Grandpa Harvey's house. It was a gorgeous day on the beach. Rylee loved crawling around on the sand and even tried a little of it for a snack. You can see how she does the crawl on her hands and feet, not knees, in some of these. She also likes to put her head on the ground - we think she is going to do a somersault soon. The next day we had fun at the aquarium.

Prineville Reservior

Rylee and I went over to Prineville Reservoir to see Rylee's Great-Aunt Joy and Great-Uncle Dan, who live in the Tucson Arizona area. They were camping with Rylee's Grandpa and Grandma Carder. I love how she is looking at her Grandpa in the first picture! It was very warm, so we set Rylee up with some water and a few measuring cups to play with!
I wish we would have gotten a picture with all of us! I am posting a link to my Aunt Joy's blog with a few more pictures. http://joyyoung20.blogspot.com/2009/08/oregon-trip-prineville-reservoir-or-723.html
First Camping Trip

Eric and I took Rylee on her first camping trip in June. The mosquitoes were awful and it was COLD at night. All three of us made it through the first night in the tent together. Rylee slept in the pack and play for a little bit and then was between us to keep warm for most of the night. The second night, Rylee and I made a bed in the back of the car. We both slept much better because we turned the car on a couple of times to get it warm. We had a fun time but definitely are interested in upgrading our camping accommodations for next year!
First Boat Ride

Rylee had her first boat ride on her Grandpa's boat on Father's day weekend at Detroit Lake. She isn't sure about her life jacket. Hopefully she will grow into it a little... You can see that our Oregon weather wasn't exactly cooperating. Daddy and Grandpa got a little fishing in despite the weather!
