Officially Caught Up!!!

OK, I am officially caught up with posting pictures. There is not even one more picture in the camera! I didn't do it all on my own... I had some help! If you haven't visited in a while, make sure you keep scrolling down for quite a few recent new updates!

Rylee is getting really good at moving herself around, mostly by doing the "army" crawl and rolling. She can get up on all fours and rock but hasn't quite figured out how to make the parts move in order to make her move. She is saying dadadada and making lots of other sounds. She just figured out how to clap her hands and really likes to clap other people's hands, too.

Her daddy has been staying home with her during the day while mom goes to work since late January. Her dad's job called last week to have him come back to work, but we have decided that he is going to continue to be home with her. Rylee is very excited that she gets to keep staying home and hanging out with daddy!!!

Memorial Weekend 2009

For Rylee's first Memorial weekend we spend one of the days at Carmen-Smith Reservoir up the McKenzie. We had a little barbecue and relaxed by the reservoir. Rylee tried watermelon for the first time and seemed to really like the flavor but ended up spitting most of it up a few minutes later mostly unchewed. Will have to try again later!

Daddy took her for a little and very slow ride on a four-wheeler, too!

Rylee's New Chair

Rylee got a new high chair that we currently have on the counter and later will strap to one of our chairs. She is getting really good with Cheerios!

9 Month Check Up

Rylee had her 9 month doctor's visit on May 19th. She measured in at 14 lbs, 7 oz and was 25.5 inches tall. She is still smaller than most of her peers, comparing at less than the 5th percentile in both. She is healthy and right on schedule with development.

Speaking of her peers, here are a couple of pictures of Rylee and her friends at the park. The kids from left to right in front are Rylee (9 months), Paige (7 months), Kassy (6.5 months), Brock (7 months) and Kellen (4 years) in the back. Rylee wasn't terribly happy about this photo opportunity, but aside from that we all had a fun time!

Willamette Valley Music Festival

Rylee went to her first concert and had a blast!!!

Mother's Day

The morning of Mother's Day, Rylee got all dressed up in her apple outfit. Then, she dressed down (including trying on mom's hat), and we all went for a hike at Brice Creek. Rylee also convinced her Grandma to treat her mom to a pedicure the day before Mother's Day... Such a great weekend!

Kleenex Box

I gave Rylee the cardboard strip that you tear off to open the Kleenex box and I don't know why, but she LOVED it! That is what she is holding in the pictures when she is wearing the pink top. Is this a sign that she will be most interested in boxes and packaging this year for Christmas?

She is getting a little big for her bath tub... And you can see that she can sit up in it now. Guess it might be time to move to the big tub soon!

We still like to get messy at dinner. She can hold her own sippy cup and bottle pretty well now. She feeds herself a little if she can pick it up off her tray. She is getting really good with Cheerios!

Another favorite toy, the TV remote!
